Last summer I posted about my magical Botanical Garden, in which I only have lemon balm growing. It grows like weeds every spring/summer and I hate to watch them dry up, so I am always finding creative ways to consume it.
The health benefits are on the link above, so I won't bore you with too many details. Just as a recap, lemon balm is great for reducing stress and anxiety. I am grateful to the house hunting gods, for seeing that this mighty herb was planted in the back of my home.
Here's a simple 'how to' guide on making iced lemon balm tea:
- Add fresh lemon balm leaves to boiling water. Allow to steep for 10 minutes, before straining out the leaves. Add honey to taste. Serve over ice.
- Conversely, skip the ice, if you want it hot!
- Enjoy!!
