I have blogged about my IBS symptoms and generally what causes it to flare up, but I don't believe I have spent much time discussing what I do, to help ease what feels like intestinal contractions.
I can tell you that by consuming foods that are on the list of foods to eat, based on my blood type, I do not experience much bloating or cramping. With that said, if I eat foods that are on the "avoid' list, then I am sure to be in pain, almost immediately. I have not done much research on the subject, so I do not know if the two have any correlation.
Because I have lived with IBS seemingly all of my life, I became more conscious of my intake after having a formal diagnosis in 2013. If I know that I will eat pizza for dinner, I usually follow up my meal with a cup of warm lemon water, along with Manuka Honey. The one pictured includes moringa, which you can read more about here. Manuka Honey is touted as being able to promote digestive health and reduce inflammation of the stomach and intestines.
I love honey and always have some local honey in my pantry. But Manuka Honey is special and I believe the benefits are worth sharing.
